By: Sofia Medina 10A

Sometimes traveling seems to be something distant when you have a low budget, but fortunately, there are a lot of cities that offer you really cheap lodgment and nourishment. No one likes to worry about money... Especially on vacation! Here's a list of some of the best options to travel to.

1.    One of the cheapest countries in the world is Cambodia. This is not only because of fame, and I’m going to prove it: housing one night could cost 7 euros. You could think, okay the housing is cheap, but... What about food? Well, the food here is around 4 euros, and, as you can see, it is really affordable. Cambodia, apart from offering good prices, has beautiful landscapes.

2.    Nepal is a country very similar to Cambodia.  It is an ideal place for vacation; not only to save your budget, but to give you the opportunity to explore beautiful landscapes such as the Himalayan mountains!  This place is full of experiences you'll never forget. The best part? You can survive with 18 euros the day.

3.   Armenia, apart from being one of the cheapest countries to travel in the world, is also a really good option to live in. This country suggests a life with a lot of economic facilities; a luxurious apartment in the capital could cost 200 euros a month, and in the countryside, it is about 50 euros a month! It’s a good opportunity to take some long vacations.

4.    In Portugal, you can find rooms for 15 euros near Lisboa, and even with a sea view. Maybe it is not the cheapest of all, but it is absolutely worth it. Where else could you watch the same spectacular coasts and landscapes that Portugal has in its possession? The food is exquisite and to accompany it you can have delicious wine (which is not expensive at all).

5.    One of the most beautiful views of the world is placed in the “Salar de Uyuni” in Bolivia. In this beautiful place you can find a three-day tour for 300 euros

with everything included, and if you just want to stay in the city, it could cost you 19 euros a day. It’s a different experience because a lot a people think that Bolivia doesn´t have a lot to offer, but it will surprise you with all the things it has.

These are some of the cheapest places in the world, but you can keep looking for more information until you find the perfect country for you.  I gave some prices, so now you have to do the mathematics if you want to. Having the chance to know different places of the world can open your mind and make you feel prouder of the world you live in, being conscious of the importance of saving it from destruction.
